Posted on December 21st, by digits in Lists, Video

As you probably noticed, Silent Shout is a blog, and is therefore morally and legally obligated to post a year-end best-of list. It’s been an excellent year for Canadian electronic music and an excellent inaugural year for Silent Shout. Cosmetics Mixtape

Posted on September 21st, by digits in Mixes

Cosmetics – Sleepwalking

Just came across a mixtape that Cosmetics did a month ago for Dazed Digital which shows exactly how well-versed they are in the classics – Suicide, Ruth, Nini Raviolette, and Deux are some of the artists included. Unfortunately, you can’t download it (booo) but you can listen to it encased on the internet. Apparently they’re working on an LP. This pleases us.

Earlier this year, Cosmetics released the Sleepwalking/The Cries, one of the best 7-inches of the year. It’s still available for sale here (search for Cosmetics on the page), or if you must, on iTunes.
