It’s been less than a month since the last one, but Young Galaxy are bringing us another remix EP, and boy do they know how to choose their remixers. My favourite of the bunch is from Montreal indie pop group Adam & The Amethysts, who do not normally operate in this territory, and serve up a sweet auto-tuned atmospheric remix. Clearly their talents are many – don’t hesitate to do this kind of thing again! Blue Hawaii also delivers a pitch-shifting bouncy psychedelic take that is quite tasty. But be sure to check out the whole thing, because the other remixers are Grimes, Cotton Mouth, and the Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Paper Bag is giving it all away for free here.
Top Songs of 2010 Pt. 1
As you probably noticed, Silent Shout is a blog, and is therefore morally and legally obligated to post a year-end best-of list. It’s been an excellent year for Canadian electronic music and an excellent inaugural year for Silent Shout.
