Video: Cygnets – Day Seven
Edmonton’s DIY new-wave darlings Cygnets have put together another video for their raving fans. Exploring body-dysmorphia, obsession and various tongue-in-cheek goth-tropes. Directed and starring front-man Logan Turner, who only wears a t-shirt if it’s a v-neck with a prophetic slogan on it. Love it.
Video: Cygnets – Indoctrinate Me
Edmonton’s Cygnets have released a new video for their song ‘Indoctrinate Me’. They have been on a bit of a video kick recently, this being their 7th music video released in 2012. I think their music really lends it’s self to music videos, even one as awkward as this.

Cygnets are New Order
Over the holidays, Edmonton’s Cygnets (whose “Hey Alexandra” was one of our favourite tracks of last year) released a little 4-song EP of New Order covers as a present to their fans. The songs are quite faithful to their original versions, which I imagine wouldn’t be easy with a band like New Order. You can download the whole EP for free here.

Cygnets Release Bleak Anthems For Zero Dollars
I got to play a show with Cygnets in Edmonton in the spring, and their live show was amazing, so I’ve been waiting to be able to hear those songs recorded. The wait is over – Cygnets released their first album a couple of weeks ago. It’s called Bleak Anthems, and it was mixed by Nik from Shout Out. They have a free download link available on their website, so hop over and grab it!
