Dresden Dresses – C.L.V. (Life Is Life)
We can’t decide which Antoine we like better. Shirtless tattooed? Manicured crazy? Y’know, the Chicago Bulls were eliminated from the playoffs yesterday, so in solidarity to Nate Robinson, we’re going to have to go with Dennis Rodman jersey-clad Antoine. Clearly, the release of this video was timed perfectly with that heartbreaking defeat.
We’re so glad that Dresden Dresses is getting the attention he rightfully deserves. A European tour, choice opening slots and now a self-directed video premiere and interview on Noisey.
Video: Mathematique – Wolf B0nes (ft. Dresden Dresses)
Our love for all things Dresden Dresses is pretty apparent here. It seems everything he’s involved in turns to gold, including Montreal’s Mathematique. This video, directed by Yann Jobin, is from the final track from last year’s (sadly, until now) overlooked-by-us F0rteressen.
Zeros as “o,” bitches!
Silent Shout will be presenting Dresden Dresses at a party in Montreal on May 4.

Pile Of Best Albums: Dresden Dresses – ☹EP
Dresden Dresses – Fallen Angel
What should we call this? Post-Crystal Castles? Whatever it is, it’s just amazing. This five song EP from Montreal’s Dresden Dresses is a clear winner from beginning to end and the video is adorably great. Definitely worthy of our ever growing pile.

Dresden Dresses – Fallen Angel
Montreal’s Dresden Dresses released their debut (White Frowning Face) EP back at the end of the summer, and it’s an experimental dark pop record that deserves more attention. It’s a truly eclectic release: the EP jumps from genre to genre, tempo to tempo, but never jarringly so. And always evil. Be sure to listen to the whole thing on Bandcamp, where you can purchase it too.
