Neat remix here from the ever delightful Montreal weirdo Flist of his labelmate Hua Li. Both acts are releasing EPs in the coming months on Art Not Love Records, and this momentary collaboration bodes well, with Flist bringing his signature creep to Li’s bizarro R&B stylings. Long live the weirdzzzzzz.
We have the distinct privilege of premiering a new video from Montreal’s ¡FLIST! We were raving about his single “Bug” a few months ago and this track takes his dynamic electronic, early Nick Cave-influenced sound to an even more exciting place. The video was directed by Montreal photographer Nick Bostick and is approved by Rich Uncle-Skelleton and it’s really really worth your time and has confirmed that ¡FLIST! is one of the most exciting things happening in Montreal right now. ¡FLIST! is playing at the Cabaret Playhouse at 8 on Saturday September 28th for Pop Montreal. Go check him out before you head over to our loft bash!
Some super exciting stuff here from Montreal’s Flist! The Nick Cave inspired Bug is the first single from their forthcoming EP Songs of Love for Jewish Girls, all of which is pretty excellent, and the accompanying video features some spectacular foot wear. Totally excellent, really unusual, definitely worth looking out for.
