World, meet Lydia Ainsworth. The Toronto/Brooklyn artist is the newest member of the Arbutus Records family, which should be indication enough that we should expect big things from her. She has composed for films, contemporary dance, and various other art forms – you can hear a sophisticated approach to instrumentation and construction in this pop offering. “White Shadows” starts slow with bells and chopped ethereal vocals and grows into a grandiose and beautiful tapestry of strings and synths.
Her debut EP will be released through Arbutus next month.
