Wolf Saga – Keep Dancing

London resident pure-pop genius Wolf Saga has been uncharacteristically quiet of late. We’re used to a furious pace of heartfelt, uplifting pop, either in the form of jawdropping covers or ever-more-impressive original EPs, and we had much fondness for 2015’s Waves. So we’re clutching his latest single “Keep Dancing” as if it might be the only new music we’ll get from Johnny Saga this year (but we hope not!). Crisp, minimal synths and a bouncy deep bass explode into a massive, emotionally charged chorus, and before you know it, you’re dancing along. Perhaps his best single yet!

“Keep Dancing” is available now from Wolf Saga’s Bandcamp.

Wolf Saga – Sway (The Kooks Cover)

Wolf Saga has mastered the timeless art of the electro-ified cover. His version of MGMT’s “Kids” is a classic, not to mention his take on The Strokes “You Only Live Once.” Now we have another one for the record books, with “Sway” originally recorded by The Kooks. Just TRY to not be sucked in from the first moment that bass line hits. The falsetto vocal layering in the prechorus is also catchy as all heck. If you haven’t gone down the rabbit hole of Wolf Saga’s oeuvre, both his covers and amazing originals, then treat yourself and go to his Bandcamp ASAP.

Wolf Saga – Walls – Video

London, ON’s Wolf Saga is one prolific artist/producer, and we’re still deeply enjoying his remarkable Waves EP from late last year. A couple of weeks ago he put out this heartwarming Lucas Dabrowski-directed video for “Walls”, a tribute to his grandmother, who helped raise him. An uplifting electro-ballad about gender equality and fighting against injustice, “Walls” was one of the many highlights from his other EP in 2015, Auburn Nights. Like we said, prolific!

Both EPs are available now from Wolf Saga’s Bandcamp.
